Promenade Plantée in rose season

The Promenade Plantée is an above-ground garden walk-way that has been created on a disused nineteenth-century railway viaduct.
Use of the railway stopped in 1969 and the 'park' was built between 1987 and 2000.
It runs for 4.5 miles from Bastille (near my place) to the east, almost to bois de Vincennes.
The most eastern part of it is on ground level.
It's very pleasant place to walk at any time of the year, but in either Spring with the blossoming trees, or in the rose season, it's particularly lovely.

I took the following two pictures several years ago, but am including them here because they're better photos than the ones I took today.
They give an idea of the context of the walk-way.
The arcades under the viaduct are now arts and crafts workshops or shops that sell mostly home design items and furniture, as well as some art-framing services.

There are lots of benches in shaded spots, and some little alcoves that are almost private:

On the viaduct, we're at the third level of apartment buildings.
