La Grande Mosquée de Paris

The biggest mosque in Paris - just beside the Jardin des Plantes. Perhaps it's significant that in this year which has presented so many challenges regarding integration of Muslims in French society, this is the last visit on my 'tourist' agenda before I leave, at the end of my dream year in Paris.Inside is a charming tea terrace and there's also a restaurant.
The birds are polite. They wait until you've taken your last mouthful of cake before they invade.
