I missed the best of the Autumn colours because I was busy doing other things, then last week's heavy rain and wind took most of the best leaves. But there are still some lovely ones. The first group is Bois de Vincennes.
The one below is a street near mine.
The two below are near my Metro (Bastille)
The Bastille monument in the distance (above).
The one below - place des Vosges around the corner from my place.
Blog began when I lived in Paris 2009-2010. I’ve chosen to call myself a ‘Flâneuse’, which is a female version of the type of character created in the nineteenth century by Balzac and Baudelaire. The male flâneur was a stylish fellow who strolled around Paris observing and commenting on personal, cultural, corporate and political behaviour. My blog initially was not seriously intended to present any such analysis – simply to share my photos and occasional experiences.
However, as a seasoned Left campaigner in Australia and the UK - and having dipped my toe into French politics for many years - for the 2017 presidential elections, in my new "Flâneuse Politique" blog, I'm tracing my involvement with the Socialist Party campaign, as well as the election processes in general.
